I never thought I would experience sudden cardiac arrest, but one ordinary day, my heart suddenly stopped. I collapsed, unconscious, with no warning. Thankfully, there was an AED nearby, and a bystander acted quickly, using it to deliver a life-saving shock before paramedics arrived. That device, and the people who knew how to use it, gave me a second chance at life.
